The Three Pillars Of EVEA
Proceeding from the mission of EVEA to promote enterprise as a life-style, we operate in three main directions: Representation of the interests of entrepreneurs and social dialogueThe standpoint and support of Estonian entrepreneurs is an argument for EVEA to stop the adoption and implementation of entrepreneur-hostile resolutions. We protect the interests of Estonian small- and medium-sized enterprises. EVEA is a common force of entrepreneurs in order to: • prevent unreasonable direct and concealed increase of the tax burden in enterprise and to protect the entrepreneur’s freedom at investing his income;
• prevent the adoption of enterprise-hostile legislation and senseless increase of bureaucracy, which would create obstacles to the development of Estonian enterprises;
• protect the interests of entrepreneurs in the public structures (on the level of the EU – through UEAPME; internally – through the Government, Ministries, state support organisations of enterprises, regional structures supporting enterprise, local governments, etc.) influencing enterprise;
• secure a safe and stable business environment to the Estonian entrepreneurs for the development and extension of their activities;
• secure the inclusion and participation of entrepreneurs in the decision-making processes influencing the Estonian business environment;
• take the problems of Estonian entrepreneurs to the highest level of decision-making.
Support services to undertakingsAn entrepreneur gets information and consultation from EVEA in several fields like legislation, taxes, accounting, the European Union, etc. The members of EVEA can: • participate in seminars, training courses, business missions for free or at a great discount; • consult individually with a lawyer, tax consultant, accounting specialist, EU financing specialist; • get the EVEA newsletter on paper and topical e-mail messages, which summarise of the amendments in legislation, give practical advice, discuss the raised problems; • get business co-operation offers from Estonia and from abroad and other useful information; • use discounts on media publications, when using the services of hotels, restaurants and many other companies, with whom EVEA has concluded co-operation contracts as a major client; • participate in the preferential trade system between the members of EVEA.
Club activitiesEVEA is an association of independent entrepreneurs, where meetings with the national- and local-level decision-makers, the club evening parties, sports and freetime events take place. • EVEA has established several traditions during its 15 years of operation: the year-end ball, summer days together with families;
• once a month EVEA clubs meet in Tallinn, Tartu , Põlva and Pärnu, where the members discuss with the decision-makers of the economical life and communicate with each other;
• every year we nominate the receiver of the title of “The Friend of Enterprise” on the suggestion of the entrepreneurs, who has struck the eye with its activity that has positively influenced the business environment.
